Announcing East End Arts Council's "Arts Mean Business" forum on September 20th

The East End Arts Council, in partnership with the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by The Long Island Community Foundation and Miracle-Gro Fund, is holding a forum on art and business, called Arts Mean Business, on September 20th.

The forum brings business owners, artists, local governments, arts organizations, community leaders, non-profit organizations and others together to discuss the value of partnering with the arts to strengthen the economic vitality of Long Island. Attendees will learn about ideas for incorporating the arts and the potential economic benefits of working with the arts community, as well as proven examples of revitalization through the arts.

The day's schedule includes welcome remarks from Riverhead Town Supervisor Sean Walter, keynote speech from Emily Peck of Americans for the Arts and the pARTnership Movement, and a panel discussion moderated by Long Island Business News' David Winzelberg and featuring VIsion Long Island's Eric Alexander, Hotel Indigo's Rob Salvatico, Golf Series Art's Elaine Thompson, Suffolk Theater's Bob Spiotto, and Suffolk County Ecnomic Development's Michelle Isabelle Stark.

They foster beauty, creativity, originality, and vitality. The arts inspire us, soothe us, provoke us, involve us, and connect us.
