Dear [prefix] [lname],

This is a reminder that the Long Island Business Council will be meeting next Wednesday, April 28th from 8:00 to 9:30am at the Sustainability Institute at Molloy College (7180 Republic Airport, East Farmingdale).

richie kesselAnnouncing our special guest speaker: Richard M. Kessel of the New York Power Authority!
Mr. Kessel took office as president and chief executive officer of the New York Power Authority, the nation's largest state-owned electric utility, on October 14, 2008. An expert on New York energy issues, Mr. Kessel served as chairman and chief executive officer of the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) from 1997 to 2007. Prior to this, he served as LIPA chairman from 1989 to 1997.

Since its inaugural meeting, the Long Island Business Council has been working tirelessly to bring tax relief, service consolidation, and many other issues of concern to our varied and vibrant communities. Part of this goal is gathering solutions and ideas from local community leaders, such as yourself, and bringing them to our elected officials. This is an interactive work session and we plan to start and end on time. A continental breakfast will be provided.

Thank you, and we look forward to your participation!

Sincerely,
