SMPS to hold TOD conference on January 18th

The Society for Marketing Professionals will be holding a transit-oriented development conference on January 18th, from 8am to 10am at Westbury Manor in Jericho. The conference will feature a panel with Elisa Picca from LIRR, Paul Beyer from NYS Office of Smart Growth, Brandon Palanker from Renaissance Downtowns, Eric Alexander from Vision Long Island, William Tuyn from Greenman-Pedersen and Councilwoman Connie Kepert from the Town of Brookhaven.

Creating vibrant, livable communities near train lines is a growing trend throughout the nation. Transit Oriented Developments can help combat traffic congestion, protect the environment, and make downtown areas better places to live, work and play.
