When: September 12, 2007 at 7:00pm
Where: Southold Town Hall
"Peak Oil" refers to the problem of energy resources depletion, or more specifically, the peak in global oil production. Oil is a finite, non-renewable resource, one that has powered phenomenal economic and population growth over the last century and a half. Southold Town Renewable Energy Committee invites you to a community awareness lecture on this growing problem of world oil depletion.
The U.S. House of Representatives is currently considering a "Peak Oil" resolution. Learn about it and how Peak Oil will cause severe problems in our lives and the economy and what measures we can take to mitigate this coming dilemma.
Please plan to join the Southold Town Renewable Energy Committee on September 12 for this insightful lecture.
